Deer Park’s acting troupe honored
Ensemble wins Backstage Award at state confab
– reported by the Houston ChronicleMembers of the Harlequin Players acting troupe from Deer Park are estastic about being awarded the Backstage Award at the Texas Nonprofit Theatres 11th Annual Youth Conference earlier this month.
Harlequin actors, Courtney Copeland and Katelyn Moody, were given All Star Cast awards while Daylon Howell was honored with a Spirit Award for his performance.
THP performed ZOOPA, an original production based on Shel Silverstein’s work. ZOOPA, which was a combination of poetry and music, was conceived by Center Stage Performing Arts Studio and Artistic Director Mandy Seymore.
