The Greater Houston Partnership is signing (or has signed) an agreement that will result in a stronger economic relationship with the Mexican state Nuevo Leon.
Reported by the Houston Business Journal:
José Natividad González Parás, governor of Nuevo León, heads a delegation to Houston on Dec. 1, along with Guillermo Dillon Montaña, managing director of Cámara de la Industria de Transformación de Nuevo León (Caintra), for the signing ceremony.
In 2007, trade between Texas and Mexico totaled more than $197 billion. The state of Nuevo León, with a population of 4.3 million, produces 11 percent of Mexico’s manufactured goods.
